I'M A WINNER!...

A few weeks ago, amzingly awesome Jill hosted a super fun giveaway with the great people over at CSN ! AND I WON!!!! I seriously have never won anything in my almost 25 years, and I was sooo excited! Being the awesome girlie that she is, Jill set it up so that we could choose our prize if we won. So when I entered the contest, I said I wanted this super cute fan for my office. After looking at the great stuff online for 2 straight days a few hours, I changed my mind! I decided on a new tote bag a super cute mirror for our bedroom  the dirt devil power vac! I recieved it last night, and I am so glad I did! Talk about handy when you are trying to chase your kiddo around cleaning up constant crumbs! Thank you sooo much Jill!!! YOU ROCK!!

He's here!!!...

Preston Robert Emerson made is big debut on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 7:44 in the morning.  Sweet Baby Boy weighed 7 lbs., 5 oz., and was 20 3/4 inches of pure sweetness!!!  Brad and Sarah, we couldn't be more happy for you guys!  He already has us wrapped around his litte finger!

thankful thursday...

it has been a whirlwind past two weeks, and there have definately been times that i thought i might be losing my mind.  its just been a little crazy, a little different, and a lot stressful.  so i apologize for being MIA for the past week or so!  instead of drumming up what has been stressing me out {to be honest, it is a lot of everything, and it would take me forever and a day to attempt to explain it all}  i thought i would focus on the things in my life that i am oh so thankful for.  pretty fitting for a thankful thursday.

i am so incredibly thankful for my daughter.  she makes me get up and get it together on the days that i really would just rather stay in bed.  she is the best part of my day.

i am  so thankful for my best friend.  she is always there to listen and give advice.  i trust her to always be honest, and know that she always has my best interest at heart.

i am thankful for my husband.  he knows when i am at my breaking point, and takes over on the home front so that i can sneak away some time for just myself, get a massage, and just blow off some steam.

i am thankful for beautiful days like yesterday when it is so georgeous outside, you can help but smile and just be happy!

i'm thankful for my daily ice.cold. pepsi (s), even if they add pounds to my ever expanding waistline.

i am thankful for wonderful showes on T.V.!!  {if you aren't watching this, add it to your TiVO -- i promise you won't be sorry!!}

It's her party...

A few months ago, Ava's Sissy [aka Sarah's Mom] took Ava shopping and wanted to buy her some adorable sandals from target. Ava is VERY particular about what she wears, so it took some convincing on Sissy's part. The convo went something like this:

Sissy: Can I please buy these for you?

Ava: Nah, I don't like them.

Sissy: Please? You can wear them to my birthday party!

Ava: Your birthday party?

Sissy: Yes, to my birthday party.

Ava: When is your Birthday Party?

Sissy: It's in April.

Ava: Where is you birthday party at?

Sissy: Where do you want it to be?

Ava: McDonald's!!!!

My sweet girl has crazy negotiation skills---she got the SANDALS & A party at McDonalds! We met up with Sissy last night to celebrate!




Sissy and Ava --Priss was so excited to get her a spiderman card because she just knew Sissy would love it as much as her!

Happy Birthday boy...

Saturday was Justin's 28th Birthday!! We celebrated by treating him to lunch and a Rangers game!!!




We had great seats---23 rows behind home plate!



Ava sported her Texas shirt from last season :)

It was the perfect day to go to the game, even though we lost! Happy Birthday Justin!!

We registered Ava this morning for Kindergarten! It was both exciting & sad at the same time---and we were just registering! Lord help me when she actually starts!!!
