hi, i'm candace, and this is my blog.  i'm a wearer of many hats.

a mom. a wife. a friend. a DIYer. a dt. mt. dew drinker. a lover of blogs.

i grew up in a small northern town.  after high school, i decided i wanted to see what else the world had to offer me, and moved to the lone star state. 

i met justin in the summer of 2004 while we were both working at chili's.  our story is one of chance & circumstance.  we were young, crazy, and totally living in the moment.  we may have done things a little in reverse, but i wouldn't change it for anything in the world. 

we found out we were preggo in april of the following year, and i knew in an instant that he and i would be linked together forever.  always scared of marriage and kids, we threw everyone for a loop when we married on a friday (my momma's birthday too) is july at the justice of the peace.  it was just he and i.  the only regret i have from that day is not having a single picture.  one of these days we'll have to renew our vows so i have some photographic proof, but for now, i can live with the memories!

just a short week and a half later, we were spending our "honeymoon" in the hospital welcoming our sweet baby girl into the world.  a tiny bundle [6 lbs. and 14 oz. to be exact] was given to us at 6:11 p.m. [12 1/2 hours and 1 c-section later].  again, my world was changed forever.

[almost] 8 years, and counting.  since those days i've managed to get married, have a baby, start a career, and learn a thing [or two] about life, love, friendship, motherhood, balancing, and survival.
